Used Canning Lines
A used canning line is a complete or partial production system for filling and closing aluminium or steel cans. Beverage canning lines are commonly used for beer, carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks, sparkling water, juice, ready-to-drink products and other packaged beverages.
Typical Canning Line Equipment
A canning line can include empty-can depalletizing, can rinsing, filling, seaming, fill-level or seam inspection, coding, pasteurization where required, conveyors, multipack or tray packaging, case packing and palletizing. The filler and seamer are normally the critical process machines and must be compatible with the same can formats and line speed.
Filling and Seaming
Carbonated beverages normally require counter-pressure filling. Still products may use different filling technologies depending on product characteristics. Seamer configuration must match the can and end specification, and buyers should verify tooling, chuck and roll condition, lubrication systems and the range of formats included.
What to Check Before Buying
Confirm can diameter and height, end type, nominal output, filler technology, seamer model, included change parts, pasteurizer or warmer requirements, coding and inspection systems, conveyors and downstream packaging. The practical line speed is determined by the integrated system rather than the maximum rating of a single machine.
