Used Cap Elevators for Capping Systems
Cap elevators transfer closures from a bulk hopper to an orientator, sorter or cap chute at the capping machine. They reduce manual loading height and provide a continuous cap supply to automated lines.
Equipment Types
Common designs use cleated belts or pocket conveyors and may include a hopper, level sensors and speed control. Some machines combine elevation and preliminary cap selection in one unit.
What to Check Before Buying
Confirm cap dimensions, bulk density, required feed rate and discharge height. Inspect belt or chain condition, cleats, hopper, drive, sensors and guarding. Check the discharge interface with the downstream cap sorter or orientator.
Applications
Cap elevators are used with screw caps, crown caps, plastic closures and other components on beverage, food, cosmetics and chemical filling lines.
Integration
The elevator is part of the closure-feeding system rather than the capping head itself, so compatibility with the cap sorter, chute and capper should be verified as a complete chain.
