Used Shrink Wrappers for Bottling and Packaging Lines
Shrink wrappers group bottles, cans, jars or cartons into transport-ready packs using heat-shrink film, trays or pads. They are widely used at the end of beverage and liquid packaging lines before palletizing.
Machine Configurations
Typical designs include film-only bundles, tray plus film, pad plus film and flexible multipack systems. Machines may use single or multiple film reels, heat tunnels and lane-forming systems to create different pack patterns.
What to Check Before Buying
Confirm pack pattern, container type, film width and thickness, tray or pad requirements and nominal line speed. Verify which format parts are included, condition of sealing bars and shrink tunnel, oven heating system, conveyors, drives, safety guarding and PLC generation. Utilities and electrical standards should also match the destination plant.
Applications
Shrink wrappers are common on water, soft drink, beer, juice, dairy and food packaging lines for PET bottles, glass bottles, cans and cartons. They are often paired with case packers, palletizers and pallet wrappers.
Manufacturers
Representative OEMs include SMI, Krones, KHS, Cermex, Dimac and other end-of-line specialists. Evaluate each machine on its actual configuration and included tooling.
