Used Low Vacuum Filling Monoblocks
A low vacuum filling monoblock combines filling and closing in a single synchronised machine. The filling valves work with a slight vacuum in the bottle: the liquid flows in by gravity while air is drawn off, and the level is set by the position of the return tube. Surplus product is recovered to the tank rather than lost.
Typical applications
Low vacuum filling suits still, non-carbonated liquids in rigid containers, most commonly glass bottles. It is used for products where a constant visual fill level matters more than volumetric dosing, and where the container can withstand the vacuum without deforming. Carbonated products require isobaric filling instead.
Formats, closures and integration
Check which bottle diameters, heights and volumes the change parts cover, and which closures the capping turret can apply. Monoblocks are usually specified together with the upstream rinser and the downstream conveyor, so infeed and discharge heights, pitch and speed have to match the rest of the line. Utilities to confirm include electrical supply, compressed air, vacuum pump capacity and CIP connections.
What to check on used equipment
Inspect the condition of the filling valves, seals and return tubes, the vacuum pump and its piping, the capping heads and their torque control, the drive and cam wear, and the state of the electrical cabinet, HMI and drives. Ask for the available format parts, electrical and mechanical drawings, declared service history and the guards fitted to the machine.
